AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. Campus Compact VISTA members work closely with colleges and universities to engage students in their communities. To learn more, click here. VISTAs commit to one year of service and receive benefits such as an education award, living allowance, health care, and others.
The most valuable services from Connecticut Campus Compact are faculty training on service-learning course development, VISTA program coordination and support, conference sponsorship for CSDs, and facilitating linkages between campuses and community leaders and organizations.
