As a faculty member, director, and board member of national organizations, he has extensive experience in building academic civic engagement programs, campus/community partnerships, and has fostered the role of the arts and humanities in public life. He is the chair of the National Advisory Board of Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life.

I have had the unique opportunity of working professionally with Ange Cooksey and also watching her train members. She is a profound speaker/presenter and has well over 10 years experience with service-learning and campus community partnerships. At ICC, we have called on her expertise numerous times — most recently to pull together campus/community research and write our "Crossroads and Common Ground" publication. Her expertise areas include Criterion Five, institutionalization of service-learning and civic engagement, and campus/community reciprocal relationships.

Jon is one of our NNE faculty consultants. He is one of the leaders using service-learning in Vermont and is becoming known nationally for his work and his students’ work on global climate change. He is an excellent teacher and facilitator. He won VCC’s Engaged Scholar award in 2007.
