Rural Alliance for Service Learning

The website for the Rural Alliance for Service Learning contains resources, including case studies, to encourage, enhance, and study the role of service learning in building a healthier and more vibrant rural America.

In conjunction with community partners, service-learning practitioners will strive to build upon the positive attributes of the rural culture while mitigating the negative factors. Rural Service Learning can involve studies, service, co-operative programs and projects, and policy development. In the process, students will develop their potential as future engaged citizens.

National Scholarship Providers Association

The National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) is the only national organization dedicated solely to supporting the needs of professionals administering scholarships in colleges and universities, financial aid offices, non-profit organizations, community foundations, and large corporate foundations.

Their Mission: to advance the collective impact of scholarship providers, and the scholarships they award, through exchanging best practices, offering professional development opportunities, and promoting student access and success in higher education.

Connections: A Directory of Full-time Volunteer Opportunities

Connections lists 100+ programs that offer full-time volunteer placements in over 40 U.S. states and 50 countries worldwide. Short-term opportunities are available for current college students for a week during spring break or for 1-3 months during the summer. Post-graduate opportunities are also available for a period of 1 year up to 3 years. Connections can serve as a resource for those students already involved with service on and off campus or those students looking to become more engaged in volunteer service.
