Bridges to Community organizes service trips for volunteers to live and work in Nicaragua. The purpose of these trips is to help our volunteers see how a vast majority of the world’s population lives, by meeting people with a different way of life, and sharing in the effort of making real changes in their community — by building a family a house, helping dig a community well, assisting with health workshops, or any of our other projects.

Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village Program

Habitat for Humanity International’s Global Village trips offer participants the unique privilege to become active partners with people of another culture. Team members work alongside members of the host community and get to know another culture in a way very few can.

Global Village volunteers have the opportunity to participate in local cultural activities, help raise awareness of the burden of poverty housing and, of course, further Habitat’s mission to build decent, affordable housing worldwide.
