Are you a 2nd or 3rd year AmeriCorps*VISTA? Want to spend the next year working on a sunny South Carolina campus near the beach? Create campus-community partnerships that impact community needs and provide real world learning for students!
South Carolina Campus Compact sponsors AmeriCorps*VISTAs on member campuses throughout the state. SCCC VISTAs respond to the needs in the community surrounding the college or university they serve and mobilize student volunteers to make an impact both on campus and in the community. SCCC member campuses represent public and private, two-year, four-year, and research universities, and partner with both urban and rural communities across the state.
We currently have one institution recruiting AmeriCorps*VISTA members:
Charleston Southern University in beautiful Charleston, SC

Campus Compact VISTAs come from a variety of backgrounds with different professional goals, but all are prepared to take leadership in planning and managing projects and inspiring students, faculty, staff and community members to take action together. Campus Compact VISTAs act as change agents on a campus and in a community and have a demonstrated commitment to community service, service-learning, or social justice.
