Washington Campus Compact (WACC) is a higher education presidential membership organization committed to strengthening communities through education and civic engagement. The WACC VISTA project places AmeriCorps VISTA members on campuses and in the community to focus on issues of food security and education as a means to poverty alleviation. Member Duties: WACC VISTAs serve on college campuses to help develop and sustain infrastructures which support poverty alleviation initiatives in local communities, mobilize volunteers, and build sustainable community-campus partnerships. VISTAs work closely and collaboratively with community organizations, students, faculty and staff.
