The Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education is proud to present five awards recognizing the hard work and dedication of outstanding people and programs in the field of service-learning and community engagement in higher education. The award categories include:

• Practitioner Contributions to Service-Learning
• Community Partner Contributions to Service-Learning
• Faculty Contributions to Service-Learning Instruction
• Student Contributions to Service-Learning
• Service-Learning Partnership

We are seeking nominations and applications of deserving candidates for each of these award categories. The categories are described in more detail at http://www.lsu.edu/summit09/awards.html. A downloadable nomination form is also available at this link.

Nominations are due November 9th.

Awards will be presented at the annual Gulf South Summit Conference at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA.
