The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement and the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis are pleased to invite you to the 2010 IARSLCE conference, to be held on October 28-31, 2010, in Indianapolis, IN.

The featured theme for this 10th annual conference is “International Perspectives: Crossing Boundaries through Research.” Service-learning is valued as an active learning strategy across the globe; however, little is known about the ways that service-learning is similar or different in varied contexts. Understanding service-learning and community engagement from diverse cultural perspectives will add insight necessary for comparative research and to improve practice.

Proposals for conference presentations are now being accepted. To be considered, proposals must be received via electronic submission by 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Monday, March 22, 2010.

The complete Call for Proposal can be found at http://www.researchslce.org/_Documents/Conferences/2010_Conference/Call_for_Proposals.pdf

Information about the conference is available at http://www.researchslce.org/_Documents/Conferences/2010_Conference/SaveTheDate2010.pdf
