Michigan will be hosting its biannual Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Institute in East Lansing, MI on January 30-31. This year’s conference theme is “Engaged Campuses. Strong Communities.” The conference will be designed to encourage participants to examine the impact service, service-learning and civic engagement have on our communities.
We are seeking qualified presenters for 75-minute conference breakout sessions, specifically within the following categories:
- Co-curricular Engagement: How co-curricular service programs impact and strengthen our communities.
- Academic Service-Learning: How academic service-learning programs and projects impact and strengthen our communities.
- Community Partnerships: Examples of successful campus-community partnerships and how to achieve them, including collaborations with K-12 schools, volunteer centers and nonprofit organizations.
- Scholarship/Research: Evidence for the benefit and impact of campus-community partnerships, including current research around the impact of college student service on the community.
Presenters receive a discounted registration fee of $100
