Cardinal Health develops and supports programs that help healthcare providers implement best practices that can truly transform patient care. Between 2008 and 2012, the Cardinal Health Foundation invested more than $12 million, in a wide variety of programs, to improve healthcare efficiency, cost-effectiveness and quality.
Again this year, the Cardinal Health Foundation is seeking proposals from healthcare institutions that will impact the efficiency and quality of care. Grants between $15,000 and $35,000 will be awarded to approximately 25 organizations in 2013.
Focus areas include:
- Medication safety across transitions of care from the acute setting to the community/home
- Implementation of WHO checklists in the operating room
To assist prospective grantees webinar sessions will be held on October 23rdat 2:00 p.m. EST and on October 26th at 11:00 a.m. EST to provide an overview and answer questions. Note that the capacity for each of these webinars is 150. They will be first come, first served so we recommend that you join early. If you cannot make it on to the first webinar, please join us during the second.
