http://www.nfwf.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Charter_Programs_List&TEMPLATE=/CM/ContentDisplay.cfm&CONTENTID=18432
The Nature of Learning Grant Program, administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service/National Wildlife Refuge System in partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, supports costs associated with implementing The Nature of Learning, a conservation education program that uses National Wildlife Refuges as outdoor classrooms in order to promote a greater understanding of local conservation issues. Central to each The Nature of Learning site is a partnership among learning institutions, i.e., neighborhood schools, nature clubs, youth groups, natural resource professionals, and community members. Start-up grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to support initial expenses associated with new programs. Follow-up grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to provide continued support to existing The Nature of Learning programs. Online applications must be submitted by April 1, 2011. Visit the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s website for application guidelines and examples of programs eligible for funding.
