Expires: 2013-02-28

The Building Environmental Education Communities Small Grants Program, administered by Earth Force and funded by the EPA, provides support to nonprofit organizations throughout Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and nine Tribal Nations. The program aims to build an environmentally literate citizenry, where school systems, higher education institutions, and community stakeholders work together to develop collaborative structures that engage young people in environmental education. Funded projects are required to address at least one of the following educational priorities: Human Health and the Environment, Community Projects, Educational Achievement, and Working for Environmental Justice. Grants of up to $5,000 will be provided, with the majority of grants going to organizations working as a consortium. Visit the Earth Force website to download the Request for Proposals.
