St. Norbert College has an opening for a full-time Assistant Director of Community Service and Learning, responsible for leading and supporting service-learning initiatives on campus. Specific responsibilities include: collaborating with faculty, staff, students and community partners to support and coordinate service learning programs, classroom experiences and projects; assisting with hiring, training and supervising student interns and advising student leaders; leading one or more service learning teams such as co-curricular, faculty, student or community advisory boards; assessing student learning outcomes and community impact for service activities; and obtaining grants to fund service-learning initiatives.
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred); 3-5 years of experience in student/leadership development or service-learning program management; the ability to use various software and social media applications; and knowledge of Catholic Higher Education, non-profits, student development/advising and cultural competence. Must have strong communication, detail-orientation and organizational skills.
