General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Director of Service Learning is an integral member of the S.O.U.L.S. Community Service and Service Learning Center with primary responsibilities for the design, implementation and assessment of Suffolk’s rapidly growing service-learning program. The Assistant Director coordinates all service-learning activity at Suffolk University including faculty outreach and support, site development and placement of service learning students from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences and the Business School and other schools and departments as necessary. In this role, the Assistant Director is vital to maintaining positive and productive partnerships with faculty, staff, students and community partners. In addition, the Assistant Director provides mentorship, supporting the leadership development of the large student staff and ensuring that service learning is well coordinated with the community service programs.
