The Coordinator duties will include, but are not limited to:
-coordination of the daily operations of the community service learning center to provide for the CSLC’s internal and external constituents including faculty/staff, students, and community partners
-supervision of 4 undergraduate consultants (including selection, training, scheduling, professional development, evaluations, etc)
-manage system to intake and disseminate volunteer opportunities for students
-provide 1:1 consultations with students and faculty/staff about service opportunities as necessary
-outreach to community agencies to build partnerships and develop volunteer opportunities for students through conducting site visits, attending community events and participating in community meetings
-lead on-campus campaign to promote reporting service hours, regularly compile service data and prepare reports for recognition through state/national surveys and reports
-serve as a Michigan Campus Compact university representative by disbursing information to the campus community, oversight of the Michigan Service Scholars, an AmeriCorps grant funded program, and assist with College Positive Volunteer initiatives
-serve as a resource to all registered student organizations
-co-lead the Student Organization Service-Learning Cohort (pilot program)
-co-advise the CSLC Ambassadors program including development of ambassador program, training, scheduling, and evaluation
-co-advise the Service and Advocacy Council and Funding Board and assist student organizations with program planning
-oversee student staff assistant projects such as electronic newsletter, blood drives, volunteer recognition, volunteer of the month, helping hands volunteer coordination, and leadership and service library check-out process
-disseminate publicity information about the CSLC and provide service/civic engagement materials through workshops, presentations, and trainings
-provide support for campus-wide service initiatives including but not limited to the Volunteer & Internship Fair, Make A Difference Day (MADD)
-participation in all staff and team meetings when required (CSLC, Student Life, Division of Student Services) and in approved committees
-other duties as assigned
