Georgia Perimeter College is hiring a Coordinator of Service Learning (# 0000320).

Under the leadership of the Executive Director of Civic Engagement and Service Learning, the Coordinator of Service Learning guides the development, marketing, and implementation of service learning and civic engagement activities across all campuses of Georgia Perimeter College. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities of the Atlanta Center for Civic Engagement and Service Learning and performing the full range of functions associated with administering service learning and civic engagement activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• conducting faculty development workshops
• assisting in the development of service learning and civic engagement activities
• identifying meaningful service opportunities for students
• building and maintaining partnerships with community non-profit organizations and public agencies
• grant management
• program assessment

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related area is required.

Candidates must demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the current issues and future directions in higher education service learning. The successful candidate will have a focus on service to students and an understanding of the mechanics of building partnerships between campus and community organizations to mobilize resources for community based service learning. The successful candidate must possess knowledge of curriculum design and academic assessment.

Two (2) or more years of service learning or related work experience and demonstrated knowledge and experience in the area of service learning. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
