Salary Range
Position will be filled at $45,419.

Requirements
The Director of Academic Programs works closely with the Executive Director in advancing the mission of Florida Campus Compact (FL|CC). This position helps provide leadership, oversight & direction to a dynamic team of individuals in a growing organization while seeking to establish & implement the vision & strategic plan for the future of FL|CC.
This person must:
- be able to perform assigned responsibilities with little to no supervision.
- be able to provide leadership and direction in programmatic, budgetary, and operational functions.
- be able to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- be able to effectively utilize strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- be able to train, direct, and supervise employees.

- have knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.
- have the ability to prepare and monitor budget information.
- have knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.
- have flexibility to travel and work nights/weekends, as needed.
This position requires a driver’s license and police background check.
Responsibilities
The person selected for this position will:
- Support the FL|CC Director with the leadership, staffing, and direction of FL|CC programs. Work to establish and implement the vision and strategic plan of FL|CC in a timely manner. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders all across Florida, to promote and advance the scholarship of engagement in higher education (both curricular and co-curricular).
- Ensure that participating colleges/universities receive training/resources and disseminate the most current and best practices of engaged scholarship. This may include site visits, conference planning, consultative services, etc.
- Work with stakeholders to assess, support and report the quantitative and qualitative impact of engaged scholarship across Florida.
- Provide daily supervision for staff, OPS, and/or work study employees. Direct, support, supervise, and evaluate staff in furthering the mission of FL|CC.
- Monitor the budget and make necessary recommendations.
- Act as a liaison with higher education and community partners to sustain and further develop a network of collegiate administrators, faculty, staff, and student/business/community leaders who are interested in and capable of advancing the field of engaged scholarship.
Preferred
- A deep commitment to and understanding of civic engagement in higher education, including community service, service‐learning, engaged scholarship and community‐based research.
- Strong track record of project management and effective organization skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for teaching and learning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and serving diverse constituents.
- Knowledge of and experience with Campus Compact.
