Director of Development and Outreach for Students for a New American Politics

Students for a New American Politics (SNAP PAC) is a student-run, federal political action committee that provides paid fellowships to high school and college students to work on progressive congressional campaigns (www.snappac.org).

SNAP PAC is seeking to expand its organization by hiring a Director of Development and Outreach. Specifically, the position involves:
• Building relationships and communicating regularly with current individual donors
• Identifying and developing new donors, both individuals and other PACs
• Raising enough funds to support the fellowship program, travel and administrative expenses, and staff salary
• Maintaining connections with past and current summer fellows
• Building relationships and connections with students on college campuses to recruit for the fellowship
• Working closely with the Student Executive Board to execute overall objectives of the organization
• Frequent travel between Washington, D.C., New Haven, and other locations on the East Coast

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• Strong commitment to grassroots organizing and social change
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fundraising experience a plus
• Experience with planning events preferred

Salary and Benefits: $30,000/year plus health benefits

Location: Preferably Washington, D.C. (There is no office; staff member will work from home)
