Office Administrator
One year term appointment – PT 30hours /week

Rhode Island Campus Compact (RICC) located at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), the country’s preeminent art and design school, located in historic Providence, RI, is seeking an Office Administrator to join its team.

Rhode Island Campus Compact is a statewide coalition of colleges and universities committed to teaching the values of civic engagement and public leadership. Rhode Island Campus Compact actively promotes public and community service as vital components of higher education. Through innovative student, faculty and institutional participation in service, higher education can meet its public trust to inspire an active, responsible and committed citizenry while helping to address community needs. RICC encourages civic discourse and debate and assists higher education institutions in the creation of partnerships with the community.

Reporting to the Executive Director of RICC, the Office Administrator provides administrative support to Rhode Island Campus Compact’s project work and for the Executive and Associate Director. S/he serves as the initial point of contact to the office and effectively handles general inquiries regarding projects and grants funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Office Administrator handles non-routine inquiries and support under guiding office principles and procedures as well as considerable support from the Executive and Associate Directors.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous office administration or related experience. General knowledge and interest in civic engagement, service-learning, higher education and the Corporation for National and Community Service. Demonstrated record of taking initiative and aggressively pursuing task completion. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in an entrepreneurial environment. Collaborative team player and accomplished multi-tasker who is willing to go above and beyond job description for the success of RICC. Excellent oral and written communication skills and problem-solving skills. Experience maintaining and updating website and database content. Computer skills, including (Microsoft Office).
