Salary Range
$23,660-$30,600, based on education &/or experience.

Qualifications
A Master’s degree in education, marketing, business, social science, or related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in the same plus, either two years internship and/or work experience, or significant community service and experience working with community-based learning in higher education and/or a non-profit setting, or significant combination of relevant work, internship, and community service experience. Strong public speaking skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task & work collaboratively in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Excellent verbal, written, networking and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet research.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

A proactive, independent worker who is not only self-directed but one who also takes the initiative to offer creative ideas, programs and solutions for the benefit of the entire organization and its mission. The ability to quickly research, learn and assimilate the best practices of engaged scholarship toward becoming a subject matter expert and trusted resource as a liaison for Florida Campus Compact in the higher education community.
Ability to serve as a consultant and motivator to activate effective learning partnerships in a wide-range of environments among collegiate faculty, staff, students and community organizations throughout the state.
A person motivated to provide only the highest level of customer service to all (including college/university administrators/faculty; business/community partners; governmental officials; co-workers; and, students, et al). A proven track record that demonstrates a high degree of energy, capability, integrity and responsibility in the conduct of duties. A valid driver’s license.

Schedule
Some travel will be required of this position as well as evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.

Other Information
This position is located off-campus at 1801 Miccosukee Commons Drive in Tallahassee, Florida. Travel and/or overtime will be required to meet project deadlines, participate in conferences and conduct campus site visits.

Responsibilities
Proposing and/or initiating policies and practices to strengthen and institutionalize engaged scholarship in higher education throughout the State of Florida. Learning and then promoting the most current best practices in service-learning and related community-based learning activities on college campuses across the state of Florida. This includes helping colleges and universities develop, implement and enhance programs that incorporate a pedagogy of learning through service and civic practice.
This person will encourage and assist in the development of instructional programs and co-curricular activities related to community-based learning, which may include grant writing and grant management.
Provide training and technical assistance to further campus-community partnerships and the field of engaged scholarship. Develop, conduct and/or arrange training for students, faculty, staff and community partners in the use of community-based learning methods. Foster partnerships among students, faculty, staff and community organizations that utilize student service to meet mutual interests. Collect and maintain a central file of the most current best practices and resources for use by and dissemination to member institutions.
Responsible for all student oriented matters including at least one annual gathering (e.g. a conference or institute for students) and outreach with student groups and their advisors. Serve as advocate for service-learning to students, faculty, staff and community partners. Develop materials and resources on student leadership development, community needs assessments, reciprocal partnerships, Community Federal Work Study, service internships, student-centered learning methodologies, outcome assessments, and other related materials for students, faculty, staff and community organizations.

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
