Program Coordinator
Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator for the Center for Social Concerns. The successful candidate will plan, implement, and evaluate student-centered programming in the areas of co-curricular community service, faith-based education for peace and justice, and civic engagement for social change; will attend weekly worship services, staff meetings, celebrations and mandatory events; and must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and overnight events. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in theology, pastoral ministry, social work, counseling or a related field. (A Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree with one-to-two years’ experience is preferred.) Must have the following: knowledge and experience of the role of faith-based service, social justice, and Catholic Social Teaching in higher education; excellent organizational, written, public speaking, and computer skills; a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission and philosophy of a Catholic university; and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
