Job Description

Maine Campus Compact is seeking a one-year Program Manager beginning in August. The Program Manager will run our eight-member AmeriCorps VISTA program, further develop and pilot our new student Civic Leadership Network, support our seventeen member campuses in Maine with civic engagement programming, especially service and service-learning programming focused on college access, success, and environmental sustainability.

The Program Manager will work with the Executive Director, student workers, and the MCC network to deliver professional development opportunities for faculty, staff, and students, and communicate electronically with various audiences about our work. There is considerable travel to member campuses, and occasionally to other New England states to coordinate programs with other state Campus Compacts.

Candidate must be personable and able to collaborate well in a fast-paced environment. S/he must also be a self-starter who takes initiative at every turn, and can juggle multiple job responsibilities in an organized fashion. Must be very comfortable with office software and social media and must write clearly. Must have experience with national service programs (AmeriCorps and/or VISTA) as well as experience working in higher education.
