Dartmouth College’s Tucker Foundation for Service, Spirituality and Social Justice seeks a fulltime Service and Education Coordinator (#1010458). The Coordinator will work directly with the Program Officer for School Outreach to coordinate and implement programming for the Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) Program and the Language in Motion (LIM) Program – two year-round programs committed to helping high school students from under-resourced backgrounds to fulfill their potential. The Coordinator will work very closely with Dartmouth undergraduates who are themselves passionate about social justice issues, and will also have the opportunity to work directly with a range of urban and rural high schools. The Tucker Foundation’s experiential model engages deep, integrative learning and reflective practices. Key accountabilities of the position include: program coordination; student advising, leadership training and supervision; and stewardship and administrative tasks. Preferred education and experiences include: A Bachelor’s degree, two years of community-based service experience on the college level or closely related field, experience in student advising, strong communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to diversity, proficiency with computer applications, effective research and writing skills, project management, event planning and ability to work independently with the public. Program Coordination for Summer Enrichment a Dartmouth (SEAD) Program
• Serves as primary contact and information resource for SEAD Schools, their Site Contacts, and Community Ambassadors.
•Assists in the recruitment, selection and training of SEAD undergraduate Interns, and oversees their work while on-site in partner high schools.
•Oversees the coordination and implementation of the SEAD Reunion weekends.
•Coordinates assessment of the SEAD Summer Program and Reunion Weekends.
•Helps oversees work of the SEAD/Tucker Foundation undergraduate Student Director and Director of Ongoing Contact.
Program Coordination for the Language in Motion (LIM) Program
•Coordinates curriculum development (with Program Officer).
•Coordinates marketing of the LIM program to schools.
•Coordinates recruitment, training, supervision, and assessment of undergraduate presenters.
•Coordinates professional development activities for cooperating teachers (with Program Officer.)
•Oversees work of the LIM/Tucker Foundation undergraduate Student Director.
Performs other duties as assigned.
