Warner Pacific College/Oregon Campus Compact - Portland, OR

FTE Level: 1.0 full-time, job share between Oregon Campus Compact and Warner Pacific College

Due to shared vision and aligned strategic direction this position was co-developed as a joint employee of Oregon Campus Compact (ORCC) and Warner Pacific College. The position will report to ORCC two days a week and WPC three days a week. The salary and benefits will be distributed through the Oregon Campus Compact office.

Primary Working Relationships: Director of Spiritual Formation, AmeriCorps Member Retention Coordinator, Student Affairs Coordinator

Summary Description: The Service Learning Coordinator provides direction to service learning programs. The positions is responsible for the ongoing high-quality service learning programs that encourages/ promotes the learning of students through resourcing faculty for classes, managing service events, overseeing student leaders and Student Affairs initiatives, all within the context of Warner Pacific’s mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions:
• Resource existing service learning courses
• Meet regularly with students to manage student service requirement
• Work with students to oversee co-curricular service programs including Hot Chocolate ministries, Saturday service, highway 205 project, Alternative Spring break trips etc.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to Service Learning student staff within the Student Affairs Leadership Development Program
• Manage community partner database
• Work with a team to oversee all community service days including Common Day of Service and MLK Day of Service
• Manage Service Learning Budget
• Attend and participate in all Student Affairs meetings
• Contribute to the support and implementation of the College Strategic Plan.
• Participate in Warner Pacific College professional development opportunities
• Contribute to other initiatives within the Campus Ministries and Student Affairs departments
• Demonstrate commitment to an urban Christian liberal arts education by upholding to the mission of the College and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.

Oregon Campus Compact
Reporting Relationship: Executive Director
Summary Description: The Program Coordinator position is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of various program initiatives.

Essential Functions:
• Program coordination to include: landscape research, alignment with existing initiatives, event coordination, on-going communication with constituents, budget management, resource development and evaluation
• Collect data and stories to inform and highlight programs to funders and constituents via monthly e-newsletter, video, social media outlets, media releases, and organization website;
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain ORCC distribution lists and contact databases;
• Assist with the coordination of logistical details of events and meetings; including facilitation, room/facility reservations, banquet planning, etc.
• Assist with office management tasks
• Attend and participate in all ORCC team meetings
• Work with ORCC staff, campus partners, regional partners, and external stakeholders to create relevant future programming based on identified statewide, regional, and national priorities
• Contribute to other initiatives within Oregon Campus Compact

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree required in Social Sciences, Religion, or related fields
• Excellent oral and written communication, public presentations and customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to diversity
• Enthusiasm for team-based work environment
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently
• Ability to multitask with accuracy in order to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
• 2 years of program coordination experience in higher education or nonprofit setting
• Proficient in computer programs including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and the Internet

Preferred Qualifications:
• Completed one year of National Service

Parameters
The starting annual salary rate for this position will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes healthcare, retirement and vacation.
