The Volunteer Services Counselor is responsible for organizing volunteer activities for individual students and student groups, and coordinating special events and projects. This position recruits, motivates, coordinates, and provides orientation and training for individual volunteers as well as volunteer groups regarding Center programs, community agencies, and volunteer opportunities. This position also acts as a liaison between university student organizations, departments and units and the Center in order to maintain good working relationships and identify and coordinate appropriate volunteer activities. The Volunteer Services Counselor is charged with representing the Center at meetings and events at the local, regional and state levels. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
