Dear community partners, staff, students, and faculty,

On Saturday, October 16, UC Berkeley and Saint Mary’s College of California will be hosting the second annual Leadership & Social Justice Conference.  The conference will take place at U.C. Berkeley between 9:30am-5:00pm.

The Leadership and Social Justice Conference seeks to network and empower college students from across the Bay Area to learn skills and understand issues to create positive social change on their campuses and in their communities..

INVITATION TO FACILITATE WORKSHOP
The planning team, which includes students and staff from the above schools as well as the University of San Francisco, Sonoma State University, and Santa Clara University, invites you to facilitate an interactive workshop during this conference.  Over 350 college students will attend the Leadership & Social Justice Conference and there will be over 30 interactive workshops that explore the following issue/areas:

  • Education
  • Sustainability/Environment
  • Poverty/Homelessness
  • Skills for Leadership for Social Justice

During the conference, there will be three 75 minute workshop blocks.  Please see attached proposal form; the submission deadline is Friday, July 16, 2010.
