Do you have a great admiration for those donate their time for others? Do you enjoy working with other volunteers helping to create a better organization? Join the 1.3 million other Red Cross volunteers and help us be a true volunteer lead organization. Your involvement empowering other volunteers will help us bridge the gap between our volunteers and our duty to the American people. Being a part of our Volunteer Management team will allow you to:

-Manage other volunteers and help us support our day-to-day operations
-Get to know current volunteers and share with them ways to get involved in the community
-Recruit and orient new volunteers to our organization in the field and in cyberspace
-Ensure a quality experience for both the volunteer and the organization
-Recognize volunteers for their contributions
-Maintain accurate records tracking the history and progress of our volunteers

Volunteering in volunteer services helps create a special relationship between you and the other volunteers. As an integral part of any volunteer program, volunteer management is an opportunity to gain leadership skills and allow others to successfully volunteer, and become true stewards in their communities. Your Service however indirect, would make all the difference in helping the Red Cross help others. As a 96% volunteer led organization, we need you most of all.

As a president, my engagement with the community demonstrates leadership by example. Moreover, it gives our students an opportunity to experience the 'real world.' Campus Compact is the foundation and center of this engagement process. It is the organization from which we seek guidance and collaboration."

-JoAnn W. Haysbert, President, Langston University
