Workshop Houston’s mission is to provide youth with creative, technical and educational resources. Our vision is to lay the groundwork for a just society by creating a community that provides youth with support, expanded opportunities and alternative definitions of success.
Workshop Houston is currently looking for volunteers to assist in four shops:
- Chopper Shop where volunteers can help kids build their own chopper and low rider bikes
- Beat Shop where volunteers will help kids learn how to play musical instruments and produce their own songs
- Style Shop where volunteers assist the kids in learning Photoshop, graphic design, and sewing
- Scholar Shop where volunteers will assist the kids by tutoring and academic enrichment
Volunteer Opportunities are generally Monday- Thursday between the hours of 3:30PM and 7PM.
WSH is close to University of Houston, Texas Southern University, Rice University, and Houston Community College.
