Assists in the maintenance and improvement of the lawns and gardens at Vita-Living properties through performance of garden activities such as planting, transplanting, weeding, raking, sweeping, collecting branches, light pruning, dead heading, edging, watering, etc. This opportunity is great for group projects.

Summary of essential job functions

•Assist in planting, weeding and deadheading of flowers;
•Assist in planting of trees, shrubs and other plants;
•Assist in pruning, cultivating and clearing of flowers, plants and trees;
•Assist in fall cleanups and spring preparation;
•Any other maintenance of flowerbeds and gardens.

Knowledge and Skills Required

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
•Gardening knowledge would be an asset but not necessary;
•Planning, organizing and project coordination skills;
•Independent and able to work with limited supervision;
•Able to follow safety precautions when on site;
•Able to follow direction and policies at all times;
•Enthusiastic about gardening and landscaping.
