ROC Wheels Inc., a faith based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, is searching for an Intern from the Business Department to work in our growing headquarters in Bozeman, MT.
The YEWTHS ROC program assistant will be working closely with the YEWTHS ROC Founder and YEWTHS ROC Program Administrator. In addition, the YEWTHS ROC Program Intern will have collaborative communications with Executive Director, Manufacturing Specialist, Office Administrator, and Board as needed.
The position will primarily focus on implementing a marketing plan designed to increase community awareness of YEWTHS ROC.
The intern will be involved in assisting with the following:
- Coordinate youth content, information, and photography for the web page, Facebook and blog.
- Improve our social networking communications;
- Prepare publications and media tools necessary for marketing;
- Take a role in exploring community collaborations with YEWTHS ROC;
- Participate in establishing a “Celebration of the Arts to ROC Our World” youth awareness and fundraising event;
- Contact television and radio stations regarding publicity opportunities;
- Coordinate/write articles for publication in local newspapers;
- Develop new relationships with companies, individuals, schools, etc., that are potential sources of public relations volunteers (graphic artists, poster designers, writers, media professionals, marketing experts, etc.);
- Compile monthly data into an operational summary;
- Make presentations to schools, churches, and service clubs, corporations and community groups and maintain ongoing communications;
- Participate in writing grants for ROC Wheels and the YEWTHS ROC programs with assistance from the staff. Keep grant providers informed of program progress and testimonies.
Skills Needed:
- Strong computer skills;
- Ability to utilize social media for marketing and gathering information;
- Ability to take initiative and work well with minimal supervision;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work well as a team player with staff, board, youth, volunteers, parents, school personnel, and other community partners;
- Ability to contact partners and potential volunteers;
- Clerical skills including photocopying, organizing, and research;
- Be a person of character and integrity with a willingness to follow the mission statement and vision of ROC Wheels and YEWTHS ROC to the best of your ability;
- Event coordinating experiences is a plus.
