The Engaged Campus: Driving Innovation through Partnerships

This conference will showcase and celebrate advanced and innovative efforts in campus civic engagement including experimentation with creative partnerships and a focus on holistic practice—collective, strategic and aligned institutional involvement in local communities. Over the course of three days, attendees will

  • Engage in discussions and dialogues addressing the future of community-based learning and campus-community partnerships.
  • Learn about current and future innovations to the long-term campus-community partnerships for the common good, including the Ford Motor Company Fund C3 program.
  • Participate in a venue that will spark and support peer-to-peer networking, sharing and learning.

Due to Campus Compact’s obligation to the hotel and other vendors, registration cancellations after May 10 cannot be refunded. Paid registrations can be transferred to other individuals if necessary.

Block room rate: $121, including free wireless internet in guest rooms
The rate is available until Monday, April 29, 2013 at 5:00 PM EST. At that point, the hotel reserves the right to charge standard rates and fees and the remaining rooms in the conference block will be made available to the public. The conference rate for hotel rooms is available both before and after the event if you’d like to come early or stay later. Make your Campus Compact block reservation.

Parking: Parking at The Dearborn Inn is plentiful and free. Valet parking available for $12/day.

Internet Availability: For those staying as a guest in The Dearborn Inn, wireless internet service has been negotiated as part of the conference reservation rate.  Limited wireless internet will be provided to conference participants throughout the conference area during the conference. Presenters who request access to the internet for their workshop will be accommodated.

Nearest Airport: Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)
Ground Transportation: Detroit Metro Airport provides a comprehensive list of ground transportation options at www.metroairport.com/transportation.  The hotel is approximately 12 miles Northeast of the airport. Estimated Taxi Fare is $25.
