Additional Software

Adobe Acrobat Documents

Many documents on the Campus Compact web sites are available for download as an Adobe Acrobat document, often called a pdf file. Links to Acrobat files are designated with the Acrobat icon: Adobe Acrobat Document and typically are followed by the file size and a warning if the file is exceptionally large and will take a long time to download.

Most computers have Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed, however, if you need to download the software, it can be had free of charge from Adobe’s web site.

Microsoft Word Documents

Occassionally you may find a document on the Campus Compact web site that is only available for download as a Microsoft Word document, or “Word doc”. Links to Word files are designated with the Word icon: Microsoft Word Document and typically are followed by the file size and a warning if the file may take a long time to download.

Microsoft Word is available from from Microsoft’s web site, although there are often free alternatives like TextEdit, which is included in Mac OS X from Apple, and Open Office.

The continual work Campus Compact provides and grants you offer to access and encourage student involvement/action are forward thinking and vital."
