Who We Look For
Campus Compact VISTAs come from a variety of backgrounds with different professional goals, but all are prepared to take leadership in planning and managing projects and inspiring students, faculty, staff and community members to take action together. Campus Compact VISTAs act as change agents on a campus and in a community and have a demonstrated commitment to community service, service-learning, or social justice.
We look for candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills who will empower communities, leverage institutional resources, and build capacity for sustainable social change.
Most state Campus Compact programs require that VISTAs have a Bachelors or Associate’s degree. Please see each state Campus Compact VISTA program’s page for the application process for that program.
