Alison Dubchansky has worked for the past two years developing and launching her brainchild: Spring into Action: Community Service Day. The Event brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Lewis & Clark under a banner of community service for one day. In creating the Spring into Action program, Alison saw a need to both build community among the various constituencies of the college and also to provide service to the greater-Portland community. Alison currently serves as a Community Engagement Coordinator in the Center for Career and Community Engagement.

Thanks to Campus Compact for all that you have done over the years to nurture the campus service and service-learning movement. When we started at St. A's 15 years ago there was a feeling among some campuses that we were seeing higher education's latest 'flash in the pan.' Instead it was the beginning of a revolution of ideas and relationships, and you guys have been fueling us all the way.
