Hannah Beck, a sophomore at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, is an active environmental steward helping the community overcome food insecurity and transportation or other energy needs.  As new Green Team president, Hannah is co-directing a first-time duathlon race to secure donations towards bike racks in urban Erie. She is also the founder of Garden Gurus, a student club devoted to working a campus-owned farm that donates hundreds of pounds of food to Second Harvest Food Bank while offering fairly priced produce for several farmer’s markets in under-resourced areas of the community.
