Joelle Selk, University of Montana-Helena College of Technology, Montana

Joelle Selk, is a 2nd year student in the University of Montana-Helena College of Technology Nursing Program.  Joelle is very involved in the Helena community and helping to provide better services for those who live here and in the surrounding areas. Joelle, in collaboration with a diabetes educator, developed an education program curriculum as an RN preceptorship project.  Accreditation through the American Association of Diabetes Education enables the health center to leverage additional funding to expand community diabetes education.  As an AmeriCorps volunteer, Joelle has put in countless hours as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and also volunteers at the Cooperative Health Center.

Campus Compact's workshops have been extremely valuable. Faculty often become energized by the workshop content and bring that enthusiasm back to campus."
