Sam Rubino is a sophomore at the University of Wyoming and has made a tremendous impact on campus in less than two years. Sam is a tireless advocate of public service, and has volunteered hundreds of hours working on behalf of various public officials as they campaign for political office. He currently serves as a student senator from the College of Engineering and Applied Science, where he works every day to listen and respond to student concerns on campus, especially from students who are from traditionally under-represented populations.

Sam Rubino, University of Wyoming, WY
I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
