Sam Tabory, Tulane University, Louisiana

Sam Tabory’s commitment to community engagement at Tulane began as part of the required service-learning curriculum. He translated his first-year service-learning experience into a long-term commitment to institutionalize public service and community engagement across the university and to promote a campus culture of service. Currently, as a Public Service Fellow, he works alongside faculty and community partners to implement service-learning courses that focus on social entrepreneurship and innovation within the arena of public education. In an advisory capacity, he sits on the student advisory boards for both the Center for Public Service and the Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives.

Thanks for your continued outstanding leadership at Campus Compact. Your publications and programs are always top-notch. I sincerely appreciate all you have done for us in the trenches."

-William F. Moeller, Director, Center for Civic Education and Service, Florida State University
