Alan Poindexter, a 2nd year student at Montgomery County Community College, is a social entrepreneur devoted to veteran’s issues. As a military veteran himself, Alan works towards educating those around him on the issues impacting homeless veterans. Alan organized a lunch for homeless veterans called a “Salute to the Troops,” which provided lunch and an opportunity to talk with local veterans.  Alan worked with two high schools and an elementary school to assist in collecting donations for the Salute to Troops project.
