Alexa Bracco, Salve Regina University

During Alexa’s short time at Salve, she has initiated a sports equipment drive, a book drive, and two clothing and toy drives for our local salvation army. Last year, Alexa helped start a program called Positive Role Model to pair foster home children with student mentors on campus every Monday. Alexa also volunteered at a summer camp for children with special needs; as a coach for athletes with disabilities and in New Orleans helping to rebuild homes.

Thanks to Campus Compact for all that you have done over the years to nurture the campus service and service-learning movement. When we started at St. A's 15 years ago there was a feeling among some campuses that we were seeing higher education's latest 'flash in the pan.' Instead it was the beginning of a revolution of ideas and relationships, and you guys have been fueling us all the way."
