Alyson’s commitment to improving conditions for youth is shown by her work with the Student Teacher In-Class Support (STICS) tutoring program, the Pathways mentoring program, and the “Bio Buddies” mentor program. Alyson worked closely with the North Adams Public Schools (NAPS) to design and implement (STICS). Alyson also volunteers with transitional and homeless shelters. Alyson is preparing for a career in nursing, already linking her pre-med classes with summer work with diabetic children at the Barton Center in North Oxford, MA.

Thanks to Campus Compact for all that you have done over the years to nurture the campus service and service-learning movement. When we started at St. A's 15 years ago there was a feeling among some campuses that we were seeing higher education's latest 'flash in the pan.' Instead it was the beginning of a revolution of ideas and relationships, and you guys have been fueling us all the way.
