Amy Ramirez, a senior at Mount Mary College, has volunteered at a variety of health related organizations, including an adult day center, the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin, CORE/El Centro (a wellness program for the Latino community), and the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center. Her passion is to provide the underserved with better health information and treatment.

Amy Ramirez, Mount Mary College
I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
