Anna Robertson, a junior at Xavier University, strives to advance human rights through community organizing. On campus, she works with Voices of Solidarity, Contemplatives in Action, and Students for Economic Justice. She supports local grassroots groups as an intern with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. On a weekly basis, she has worked with Crayons to Computers and brought sandwiches to homeless camps throughout Cincinnati. Outside Cincinatti, she has spent summers at an Appalachian farm, breaks at Alternative Breaks service programs, and a semester in Nicaragua serving at a childhood nutrition center. Anna is developing community-based research on the impact of memory in healing war-torn communities.

Anna Robertson, Xavier University
I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
-Amanda Coffin, University of Maine at Farmington, Campus Compact student leader
