Chelsey Overstreet, a junior at Millsaps College, is an outstanding organizer. As a student director of the Wellspring Living-Learning community at Millsaps College and a dedicated member of the 1 Campus 1 Community Student Leadership Team, Chelsey has worked tirelessly to develop partnerships between the college community and the schools, neighborhood groups, and non-profit organizations in the Midtown community of Jackson, Mississippi. Whether creating a faculty/staff drive at the college to equip classrooms in a nearby elementary school with learning and enrichment supplies, or helping organize a Reading is Fundamental book distribution to low income children, Chelsey strives to connect college to community.
