Courtney Motl, McKendree University

Courtney Motl, a junior at McKendree University, has worked tirelessly to learn about the root causes of poverty.  Courtney co-coordinates McKendree’s program at Family Living Center, a transitional housing shelter in East St. Louis for homeless women and children. She is currently the vice president of service for Alpha Phi Omega, president of Campus Ministries, and office coordinator for the Center for Public Service. In addition, Courtney has spent all of her spring breaks on mission trips, serving communities in Virginia, Chicago, and Costa Rica.

Campus Compact's workshops have been extremely valuable. Faculty often become energized by the workshop content and bring that enthusiasm back to campus."
