Daniel Ward, California State University, Fresno

Daniel Ward, a junior at Fresno State majoring in Chemistry, is a dedicated advocate for civic engagement and service-learning among his peers. Daniel began this service as a freshman in the Smittcamp Family Honors College, where he arranged many community service activities for his peers such as support for veterans and river cleanups. Daniel has since taken his leadership skills and passion for civic engagement and extended it to the entire campus by volunteering as a Richter Ambassador. Daniel’s goal is to help all students understand the value of service by assisting them in the process of becoming civically engaged.

Thanks for your continued outstanding leadership at Campus Compact. Your publications and programs are always top-notch. I sincerely appreciate all you have done for us in the trenches."

-William F. Moeller, Director, Center for Civic Education and Service, Florida State University
