Diana Carter, a Human Services student at Midlands Technical College, has dedicated herself to addressing the needs of families trapped in generational poverty. Through her  service with family crisis agencies, the Eau Claire Promise Zone, the Democratic Political Action Committee, and Project Not a Statistic, Diana researches needs, collaborates, and establishes education and health resources to help families.
