Georgia (Gina) is the Student Senate President and a Student Engagement Ambassador. Gina’s local involvement includes helping at a local food distribution center called Harvesters and at a residential facility for disadvantaged youth, the Don Bosco Center. Gina has a truly global background and perspective, evidenced by her thorough involvement with Heart to Heart, which provides food and medical relief to areas throughout the globe.

I have always had a drive to serve others and work for the common good. But I never fully realized that I could go beyond volunteerism--that my opinion and hard work could influence policy decisions. My views changed when I sat in the office of one of my legislators in Washington, DC.
