Jaclyn Le, Stanford University

Jaclyn Le, a senior at Stanford University, is an emerging civic leader in public interest law and education policy reform. Jaclyn is focused on creating long-term, institutional changes to public schools through policy and litigation. Her work at Earning by Learning, an education nonprofit in Dallas, and DreamCatchers, a student-initiated education organization, exposed her to the implications of inequitable education policy in schools. She has coached first-generation, low-income high school seniors through the college application process with the Phoenix project. Jaclyn received a Public Interest Law fellowship to work with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas to further her understanding about how laws are implemented in low-income communities.

Campus Compact's workshops have been extremely valuable. Faculty often become energized by the workshop content and bring that enthusiasm back to campus."
