Kelly Cosby, University of Kansas

Kelly Cosby, a senior at the University of Kansas, has spent the past four years preparing for a career in public service. As a student leader for Amnesty International and Amnesty USA, Kelly has empowered other students to organize around issues including maternal mortality in the US and the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. Kelly also serves as a student senator, works in the Center for Community Outreach, and writes a human rights column for the campus newspaper. With plans to attend law school in the fall, Kelly hopes to use her leadership experience and dedication to social justice to contribute to the community through public problem solving.

Campus Compact's workshops have been extremely valuable. Faculty often become energized by the workshop content and bring that enthusiasm back to campus."
